Picture this: you stayed up a little too late last night...
and your eyes are puffier than Cheetos. I don't know if it's because your baby was up all night screaming or you watched an extra episode on Netflix, or you were like me and worked on your website for too long (I love it though!)... Whatever it was, you're not looking your best right now!
Here's what I do on those days:
1. I wash my face with cold water
It's not rocket science, but I wash my face every morning and every night. Here's what I've been using for the past few months (actually running out!). Cold water is the best way to tell my body that it's time to wake up. I still don't look like a million bucks but at least I don't feel like I've been hit by a train ;)
2. Hydrate your skin
Having a regimen is what R+F is all about and it has taught me that my skin craves structure - washing and hydrating is a basic.
3. Brighten your eyes
Those bags under my eyes are not designer bags, they're rude effects of staying up too late (and genes). Use a brighter concealer (lighter than your skin) for under your eyes, and I promise you it'll make your face light up and you'll look way less tired!
4. Get rid of your redness (see it?!)
This is so important - it's what makes all the difference. My Foundation (Almond) is totally water-proof and workout proof (writing this after cardio!) - and it's darn good at covering my redness. Check it out!
5. Rosy cheeks make you look happy and awake!
I'm serious, once you've put your blush on your face will look even more alive! You know that cute reddish tint your kids get after running around in the snow for hours on end?! That's what we're recreating! I use Cherry BlushSense and it's quite bright, usually I want to tone it down after (but at least I know it'll stay on!!)
6. Curl them eyelashes, put yo mascara on!
Curling your eyelashes will make your eyes look more open and certainly make your mascara more impressive. I'm using the Senegence Mascara because it's waterproof and I was getting ready before a workout!
7. I'm not kidding: this is the most fun you'll have!
For a few months I've been lending out a few of my makeup things to friends so they can try them (it's not easy to try a Face Wash through a Facebook Party ;)). One of those was Pearlizer, and I missed it so much! It'll make your face beautiful and happy. I apply it here:
- Inside of my eyes
- Bridge of my nose
- Cupids Bow
- Brow Bone
- Top of my cheeks
8. And of course, what always makes all the difference... the lips!
Without specifics, let me tell you about my favorite part of selling: when a mom comes to me and tells me that wearing lipstick has made her feel beautiful for the long time in a while - that's what I really love! I'm wearing Honey Rose - which is super fun!
