When we rescued these pups I was aware they had been abandoned but I didn’t truly think about what that meant. Well for some reason today I realized they wouldn’t be alive had nobody found them in a field and a forest :( I can’t imagine not having these two babes by our side every day and I’m so thankful we get to take care of them 🖤. this time next month we will be close to moving again. Just to give you context over the past 6 years I have moved from #Lyon to #Lille, Lille to Canada, Canada to Saint Petersburg, Saint Petersburg to Nice, Nice to #Paris, Paris to Saint Petersburg, Saint Petersburg to Dothan AL, Dothan to Pensacola and soon Saint Petersburg again. Conclusion? I always go back to Saint Petersburg! Although I wish my whole family lived in the same little village, when I moved to Saint Pete the first time I found @coledanielharris, his parents and @danielleharris95 and I know it sounds silly but it’s the first time I had a best friend (outside of my own family)! That’s the reason I’m always feeling my heart being pulled back there. I’m excited to move back, nervous to pack and already feel my neck giving out lol

Once in a blue moon my baby gets the day off and we cherish them! He sleeps in then around 9am I send in the puppies to lick him until he wakes up... not a bad way to start your Friday right?

For our first dance as husband and wife we chose “At Last” by Etta James. That song embodies what I felt on that day - at last I could hold the one I’d loved for so long, at last I could be with him. Moving back to France, working at the craziest place in Paris, medical school... all those really difficult things I saw as reasons we would never be able to be together but God was writing us another story. Of longing and patience and trials to at last, be together.

Streamlining my makeup line had a deeper effect on me than I thought it would. Reminds me of when @mariekondo said “Anxiety arises from not being able to see the whole picture. If you feel anxious, but are not sure why, try putting your things in order.” I know that might sound silly but having dozens of bottles of makeup product on my counter was tiring and cluttered more than our bathroom: it cluttered my mind, decreased my creativity and definitely took away countless hours of my life looking for the right brush or shade. Now I have everything in one wallet that fits in my purse and happens to have all my credit cards and a few brushes on the other side. So if you’re feeling anxious and not sure why, start by decluttering your makeup. Donate or throw out what you don’t need! Let’s be people who spend less time looking for makeup and more time snuggling our puppies.
